Role Overview
The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, maintaining critical infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with federal standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and hardware systems.
- Provide expert technical support to federal personnel, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and agency security protocols (FISMA, NIST).
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and systems from unauthorized access.
- Conduct system audits and performance tuning to optimize system reliability and speed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical requirements and propose innovative solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: Active Security+ or CISSP certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering within a government or defense contractor environment.
- Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cisco and Microsoft environments; experience with virtualization (VMware) and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Fort Worth, TX.
