Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments and security authorizations for federal information systems in accordance with NIST standards.
- Implement and monitor advanced security controls to protect sensitive data.
- Develop, update, and disseminate IT security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with FISMA and agency regulations.
- Investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Perform audits and inspections of IT systems to ensure regulatory adherence.
Qualifications
- Citizenship required: United States Citizenship is mandatory for this federal position.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Certification: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is strongly preferred; CISSP or Security+ certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information security, risk management, or IT operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network architecture, firewall management, and security protocols.
