Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex federal network infrastructure and hardware.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with federal IT standards (FISMA).
- Configure and support routers, switches, and firewalls within the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to optimize network efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to internal staff regarding network resources and security best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and software upgrades.
- Document network configurations, incidents, and resolutions in the central database.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of specialized experience may be substituted.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ or Cisco CCNA is preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in network administration, systems engineering, or IT support.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a background investigation and secret clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
