Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for government staff.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the Service Desk Knowledge Base.
- Assist in the deployment of new software and operating system updates across the organization.
- Collaborate with network engineers to resolve complex infrastructure issues affecting public services.
- Conduct regular security awareness training for departmental staff.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
- Experience with Active Directory and basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Ability to obtain a valid State of Ohio background check and security clearance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime during system upgrades or outages.
