Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to support federal operations.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
- Configure and manage network security protocols to ensure compliance with federal standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and provide solutions for business needs.
- Perform regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate security risks.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of specialized experience in network engineering, infrastructure support, or related IT functions.
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and enterprise-grade network management tools.
- Familiarity with federal cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Federal security clearance.
