Responsibilities
- Network Administration: Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures to ensure optimal performance and reliability for federal clients.
- Security Compliance: Enforce federal security standards and protocols (e.g., NIST, DIACAP) to safeguard sensitive data and information systems.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts with minimal downtime.
- System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and upgrade legacy systems.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and incident reports.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior staff and conduct training sessions on network best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering, system administration, or IT support within a federal or government-contracted environment.
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent industry-recognized certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
