Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for desktop hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage and maintain the organization’s server infrastructure and database systems to ensure high availability.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and prevent cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve IT project requirements.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance analysis to optimize system efficiency and user experience.
- Train government staff on new software applications and IT best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to obtain a State of Tennessee security clearance.
