Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) and server infrastructure.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect state data and systems from cyber threats.
- Provide technical support and guidance to agency staff regarding hardware and software issues.
- Conduct regular system audits, backups, and performance tuning.
- Document IT processes, configurations, and incidents accurately for compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices and cybersecurity protocols.
- Ability to obtain a Nebraska Public Trust Background Check.
