Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable software solutions for state agencies using Java, Python, and Cloud technologies.
- Lead architecture reviews and ensure code best practices across the development team.
- Collaborate with policy experts and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure all applications meet strict state security compliance and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CIPA).
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct technical training sessions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably within the public sector or enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript and experience with relational databases (SQL).
- Demonstrated experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Ability to obtain a background clearance check required for state employment.
