Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain secure IT infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network hardware
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for federal systems and user troubleshooting
- Coordinate with cross-agency teams on cybersecurity incident response and threat mitigation
- Develop and maintain system documentation, security policies, and compliance reports
- Lead system upgrades, patches, and vulnerability assessments
- Train staff on cybersecurity best practices and secure IT usage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive IT experience with federal systems or large-scale enterprise environments
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and FedRAMP compliance
- Proficiency in network administration, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and experience with incident response procedures
