Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local and wide-area network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to internal government agencies and departments.
- Conduct system audits and security assessments to comply with state and federal regulations.
- Manage and upgrade critical databases and software applications used in municipal operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
