Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues within the State network.
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory services.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures for the help desk.
  • Assist in the migration and deployment of new hardware and software updates.
  • Respond to service requests and incidents via the ticketing system in a timely manner.
  • Conduct end-user training on new technologies and software applications.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Help Desk or Technical Support role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems (10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced government environment.
  • Ability to obtain a background check and pass a drug screen.
