Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure across all city departments.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, including Windows and Linux environments.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols within Active Directory.
- Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and data integrity.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement new technologies and optimize existing workflows.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets and software licenses.
- Document technical procedures and create user guides to support knowledge management.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent technical certification is strongly required.
- Proficient in troubleshooting network connectivity, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical users.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain a government security clearance.
