Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage and maintain the city's Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN), ensuring high availability and security.
- Install, configure, and deploy workstations, printers, and mobile devices for city staff.
- Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and apply security patches to prevent cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions that meet departmental needs.
- Document technical procedures and create user guides to improve internal knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, OR equivalent professional experience (minimum 5 years).
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in a help desk or IT support role within a government or corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2016/2019.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
