Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across various operating systems.
- Ticket Management: Manage and prioritize incoming service tickets within a high-volume helpdesk environment, ensuring timely resolution.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine system maintenance, patch management, and security updates to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Deployment Support: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and imaging of new devices for county employees.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all support activities, incidents, and resolutions in the service desk system.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with non-technical users to explain complex technical issues and guide them through solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the central IT team to identify trends and implement long-term solutions for recurring technical problems.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support, help desk operations, or a related technical role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Schedule Requirement: Must be available to work a weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
