Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Implement and maintain security protocols and firewalls to protect state data.
- Configure and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows Server, Active Directory).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT service delivery and efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and perform regular system backups.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Must be eligible for state employment and pass a background check.
