Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Oversee network operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of all state systems.
- Implement and monitor advanced cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and government assets.
- Provide tier-3 technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration within a large-scale organization.
- Strong proficiency in Active Directory, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Valid industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
