Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and server infrastructure across government facilities.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and upgrade IT systems and software.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to ensure operational efficiency.
- Train staff on new technologies and software applications to enhance departmental productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Cisco networking equipment.
- Strong knowledge of government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST) is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
