We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Analyst to support critical federal initiatives in Washington, DC. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced government contracting environment.
In this role, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of our systems architecture.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex system requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications for development teams.
- Lead the design and implementation of IT solutions that align with federal standards and security protocols (FISMA).
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for system outages and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with program managers and subject matter experts to define project scopes and deliverables.
- Ensure strict compliance with ITIL best practices and change management procedures.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior analysts and developers.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, preferably within the government or defense sector.
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is mandatory.
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting languages.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and data privacy regulations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for high-level stakeholder reporting.
