Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and accurately.
- Deliver mail to residential and business customers in a safe and timely manner, adhering to strict schedules.
- Collect and process incoming mail, including handling packages of various sizes.
- Operate postal vehicles and various pieces of sorting equipment.
- Interact professionally with the public, answering inquiries and resolving issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at the facility and on the route.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status (required for federal employment).
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass the USPS entrance examination and medical assessment.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
