Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Organize and categorize incoming and outgoing mail and parcels with high accuracy and speed.
- Vehicle Operations: Load, unload, and transport mail using USPS vehicles or trailers, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Customer Service: Deliver mail to residences and businesses, obtain signatures for certified mail, and answer customer inquiries professionally.
- Route Management: Maintain designated delivery routes efficiently, ensuring all mail is delivered on time.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physical tasks such as lifting packages (up to 70 lbs) and walking long distances in various weather conditions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep sorting equipment and vehicles clean and in working order.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid Permanent Resident Card.
- Driver's License: A valid driverβs license is required for delivery positions (clean driving record preferred).
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
