Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and accurately to ensure timely delivery.
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses in a safe and timely manner.
- Operate postal vehicles (including vans and trucks) following all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Manage packages accurately, including scanning and handling special delivery items.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of mail vehicles and sorting facilities.
- Interact with customers professionally to resolve inquiries and provide excellent service.
- Adhere to all postal safety regulations and operational procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and street directories.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
