Responsibilities
- Sort and Distribute Mail: Accurately sort incoming mail and packages by ZIP code, size, and route to ensure timely delivery.
- Deliver and Collect: Transport mail to and from customers' mailboxes and business locations on a designated route.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, professional service to the public and resolve any delivery-related inquiries or issues.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on your vehicle to ensure it is safe, clean, and fueled for the day's route.
- Physical Stamina: Lift heavy parcels, walk long distances, and navigate various terrains regardless of weather conditions.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all USPS safety protocols, security procedures, and operational guidelines.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Citizenship Status: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal history background check and drug screening.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact courteously with customers.
- Reliability: Punctual with a history of reliable attendance and work habits.
