Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail and Packages: Sort and deliver mail and parcels to customers in a safe, timely, and accurate manner, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a letter carrier vehicle to navigate assigned routes efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and postal safety protocols.
- Customer Interaction: Provide a positive and professional experience for customers, including handling inquiries and accepting packages when required.
- Mail Processing: Perform essential duties related to mail preparation, such as cancelling mail, removing unwanted mail, and preparing incoming mail.
- Route Management: Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and adhere strictly to all established postal procedures and regulations.
- Physical Stamina: Lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal Status: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent legal alien status.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and a drug screen.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting, bending, and walking.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with the public.
