Responsibilities
- Daily Mail Delivery: Sort and deliver mail to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a timely and accurate manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns regarding missed or misdelivered mail.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the delivery vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Package Handling: Handle packages of varying sizes and weights, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, times, and any exceptions or issues encountered on the route.
- Physical Stamina: Maintain a high level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the job, including lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen or have legal alien status.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and stand/walk for long periods (8+ hours).
- Driving Record: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to navigate a specific geographic area.
