Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on municipal facilities, parks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to citizen service requests within city service standards
- Assist in emergency storm response and disaster recovery operations
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems and mobile devices
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and city protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or municipal maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Basic proficiency with GIS mapping and digital reporting tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in all weather conditions
