Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and roadways
- Operate heavy machinery (street sweepers, dump trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and document maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with municipal safety protocols and environmental standards
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- 3+ years in municipal maintenance or construction
- Valid Texas Class B CDL license
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
