Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on public facilities including parks, recreation centers, and municipal buildings
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment for groundskeeping and infrastructure projects
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards in compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban beautification and community improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory management
- Respond to emergency repairs during weather events and critical situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years facility maintenance experience
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification within 6 months of hire
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
