Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, playgrounds, and green spaces
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment) safely
- Inspect and repair public infrastructure (sidewalks, street signs, drainage systems)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
- Respond to emergency weather-related maintenance requests
- Document maintenance activities and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- 2+ years experience in groundskeeping or facility maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge of maintenance equipment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
