Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, snow plows) safely and efficiently
- Conduct daily inspections of public areas and report maintenance needs
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city improvement projects
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance or construction
- Certification in equipment operation preferred (e.g., CDL, forklift)
- Strong knowledge of hand/power tools and basic repair techniques
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
