Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and green spaces
- Operate light machinery and equipment for landscaping and construction projects
- Respond to service requests and address public infrastructure concerns
- Assist with emergency preparedness and disaster response initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License (must obtain within 30 days if not current)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Spanish bilingual preferred
