Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on public facilities including parks, sidewalks, and municipal buildings
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment) safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of infrastructure and report maintenance needs
- Assist with emergency response during weather events or public safety incidents
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance or construction experience
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B required
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery safely
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry fundamentals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must pass background check and physical fitness assessment
