Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and public buildings
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment (e.g., snow plows, street sweepers, utility vehicles)
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of public parks, facilities, and designated areas
- Respond to emergency service requests and weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on community improvement projects

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience in public works, construction, or related field preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
