Responsibilities
- Maintain city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities through daily inspections and repairs
- Operate light machinery and hand tools for infrastructure projects
- Assist in emergency response during natural disasters or public safety events
- Collaborate with engineering teams on urban development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Support community outreach programs for public infrastructure awareness
- Document maintenance activities and submit detailed progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or construction
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and construction materials
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
