Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city buildings, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Implement safety protocols for hazardous materials and emergency situations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Document maintenance activities and inventory supplies
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests within specified timeframes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years' experience in facility maintenance or public works
- Certification in OSHA safety protocols preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
