Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public infrastructure (parks, sidewalks, facilities)
- Operate municipal equipment (trucks, mowers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist with waste management, recycling programs, and public space beautification
- Respond to service requests and conduct site inspections for compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during community events and emergency operations
- Document work activities and maintain accurate service records
- Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance, construction, or public services
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
