Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and report safety hazards
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Collaborate with cross-department teams on community improvement projects
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years of facility maintenance or landscaping experience
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., forklift, chainsaw) preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
