Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment (trucks, mowers, heavy machinery)
- Perform groundskeeping and landscaping in public parks and facilities
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of city infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance or construction
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in extreme temperatures
- Basic knowledge of plumbing/electrical systems
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
