Responsibilities
- Support park maintenance operations including groundskeeping, facility inspections, and equipment management
- Assist with recreational program coordination and community event logistics
- Conduct public outreach to gather resident feedback on park amenities
- Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate facility documentation
- Collaborate with urban forestry teams on tree planting initiatives
- Support emergency preparedness protocols in public spaces
- Coordinate volunteer engagement for beautification projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in municipal services, landscaping, or recreation
- Valid DC driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication skills with diverse community stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of park safety regulations and ADA compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
