Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, sidewalks, and public buildings
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment)
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Assist with emergency response during weather events
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years in groundskeeping or maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems a plus
