Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of residential/commercial waste across assigned routes
- Operate sanitation trucks and heavy machinery safely
- Maintain public cleanliness through street sweeping and litter removal
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Respond to emergency weather conditions (snow, storms)
- Adhere to OSHA and city sanitation protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New York State driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays
- U.S. citizenship or work authorization required
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- No prior experience necessary—training provided
