Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on municipal infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, and loaders safely and efficiently.
- Respond to emergency service requests and citizen complaints regarding public infrastructure.
- Conduct daily inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with other municipal departments to ensure cohesive city operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Oklahoma Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within a specified timeframe is a plus.
- Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
