Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate specialized equipment (e.g., trucks, mowers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist with emergency response and disaster recovery operations
- Conduct field inspections and document findings in municipal systems
- Engage with residents to address public service inquiries and concerns
- Adhere to all federal, state, and municipal safety regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, landscaping, or facility maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varied weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Proficient with digital reporting systems and basic Microsoft Office applications
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish highly desirable
