Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, sidewalks, and recreational facilities
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and minor roadway repairs
- Respond to citizen service requests regarding public infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for large-scale projects
- Conduct regular safety inspections of assigned work zones
- Maintain accurate records of materials and equipment usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends as needed
