Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate municipal equipment (e.g., trucks, mowers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist in storm preparedness and emergency response operations
- Support waste management and recycling initiatives citywide
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment operation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or maintenance preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
