Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public parks, streets, and buildings
- Operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and snow removal equipment
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow, ice, storms)
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Adhere to OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years of landscaping/construction experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic equipment operation certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work
