Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including roads, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Respond to emergency service calls during inclement weather or public events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate public works projects
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and municipal safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and business owners
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (dump trucks, graders, etc.) with certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation
