Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including sidewalks, roads, and public buildings
- Operate specialized equipment such as street sweepers, lawn mowers, and snow removal machinery
- Perform routine inspections of public facilities to identify safety hazards
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events or public safety incidents
- Collaborate with other departments on city beautification and park maintenance projects
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Complete accurate maintenance logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Indiana Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or facility maintenance
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (certification a plus)
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of power tools and hand equipment
