Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (street sweepers, dump trucks, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities and public grounds
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works requests
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban development initiatives
- Document daily operations and submit accurate field reports
- Participate in community beautification and outreach programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona Class C Driver's License (Class A preferred)
- Minimum 1 year experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
