Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment for public works projects
- Perform routine inspections of parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during severe weather events
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for coordinated project execution
- Document work activities and submit progress reports to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- 2+ years of experience in public works or facility maintenance
- Valid Class C Nevada Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (e.g., dump trucks, graders, backhoes)
- Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
